COVID-19 Information

The Westside Theatre is committed to creating a safe and healthy environment for all, including staff, production personnel, and audiences. Doing so requires the cooperation and effort of everyone who enter our doors. Guests who do not comply with these policies will not be admitted or will be asked to leave the theatre.

To ensure the safety of everyone in the theatre, the following policies are in place:

MASKS

For all performances through at least October 31, 2021, acceptable face coverings must be worn at all times when inside the building, including during the show, except while actively eating or drinking in designated areas. All face coverings must cover your mouth and nose, and must comply with the CDC guidelines for acceptable face coverings.

VACCINATIONS

For all performances through at least October 31, 2021, all patrons must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a FDA or WHO authorized vaccine by the time of performance, and must show proof of vaccination at the time of performance, alongside your valid ticket. “Fully vaccinated” means at the time of the performance, you must be 

  • At least 14 days after your second dose of a FDA or WHO authorized two dose vaccine, or
  • At least 14 days after your first dose of a FDA or WHO authorized one dose vaccine

The only exception to the above will be for guests under the age of 12, or those who need reasonable accommodations, as mandated by federal law, due to a medical exemption or sincerely held religious belief. Guests requesting this exemption, must provide one of the following upon arrival to the theatre, in addition to properly wearing a mask at all times inside the building:

  • Negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance, or
  • Negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test taken within 6 hours of the performance

Guests may present proof of vaccination or negative test on paper or a smartphone. For example, New York residents may present proof using the state’s Excelsior Pass phone app.

In addition to the above, all guests 18 years or older must also present a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport, which must match the name on your proof of vaccination or negative test. Guests under 18 may use a school ID. Guests under 12 must be accompanied by an adult who meets the above requirements.

Guests who do not comply with these protocols will be denied entry or asked to leave the theatre.

WHAT WE’RE DOING

The Westside Theatre, under the advisement of HVAC professionals, has implemented ventilation and filtration enhancements throughout the building, based on best practices. We have also increased daily cleaning and disinfection of all surfaces. Furthermore, efforts have been made to reduce contact points throughout the building, and we encourage the use of print-at-home or tickets on a mobile device. Our staff have all been advised of risk mitigation tactics, through the advice of public health professionals, and will also be required to adhere to the same policies outlined above.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Due to the constantly-evolving nature of the ongoing pandemic, these policies are subject to change. All staff and patrons are required to follow all CDC, NYS, and NYC guidelines at the time of performance. These updated guidelines may include additional requirements, beyond what is outlined above. Additional protocols may include health screenings, testing, temperature checks, or more. 

If you receive confirmation of a positive COVID-19 test within two weeks prior to your performance, we ask that you consult a medical professional and not attend the performance unless cleared by said professional.

Additional information for performances after November 1, 2021 will be announced at a later date.

Buy tickets now for any performance through January 9, 2022, and you can either refund or exchange your tickets into any other date until 24-hours before the performance.
